Our current school opening times and the length of our school week are detailed below.
The Government now requires all schools to be open for 32 and 1/2 hours per week. In order to meet the new Government requirements we propose to extend the school day by 5 minutes. New timings for school will be 8.50 to 3.20. This will come into place from January 3rd. 2023.
Arrival at school
The gates to the playground open at 8.30am.
Doors open at 8.50am.
Reception and Year 2 will enter through the Infant door.
Year 1 will enter through the Year 1 door.
KS2 children will line up in the Junior Playground.
Morning Session:
School starts at 8.50am. Please ensure your child is in their classroom before the door is closed at 9.00am. If your child is late, please take them to the main office and sign them in. If your child is ill, please inform the school office before 9.30am.
Morning breaktime
KS 1 and KS2 – 10:25am – 10: 40am
Lunchtime
KS1 12.05am- 1.15pm
KS2 12.20am – 1.15pm
Afternoon Session
KS1 and KS2 – 1:15pm – 3:20pm
KS2 children should be picked up from the Junior playground.
Reception and Year 2 children should be picked up from the Infant door and Year 1 children picked up from the gate outside the Year 1 classroom.
If you are going to be late picking your child up please ensure you contact the school office as soon as possible so the teacher can be informed. If your child has not been picked up by 3.30 pm they will be brought to the school office to be collected.
